In partnership with the LCMS Southeastern District, Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School, Catonsville, Md., the LCMS Office of National Mission and LCMS Urban and Inner-City Mission, Rev. Martin Schultheis serves the Lord as a domestic missionary in Baltimore, Md. As exec director of Faith and Work Enterprises, Martin supports and leads a team to develop relationships and provide crisis care services for people in the Sandtown-Winchester community. He also works with the team to identify and acquire property in which they can begin implementing their own workforce development program for men in conjunction with their social enterprise, Pennsylvania Ave Chocolates. Throughout his interactions, Martin plants seeds to start a Lutheran faith community among those who hunger to hear the Gospel. In addition to the work he does with this organization, Martin serves as senior pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School, Catonsville, Md, since 2004. He and his wife, Kathy, have five children.
