Charles St. Onge (Pastor, Ascension Lutheran Church, Montreal, CAN and Area Facilitator for LCMS OIM ) Charles St-Onge was born and raised in several cities across eastern Canada. After completing two degrees in engineering he moved to the United States, eventually attending the LCMS seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has served congregations in Philadelphia, PA and Houston, TX, a mission in Asia, and since 2015 has been working with the Office of International Mission in Latin America and the Caribbean. He helps facilitate mission work in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Puerto Rico and serves part-time at Ascension Lutheran Church. He is married to Deborah Follstaedt of Middletown, OH, a music educator, and they have two teenage daughters. The St-Onges live just outside Montreal, Quebec in Deux-Montagnes (pronounced DE mon-TANG). All four now speak French, although only two of them like it (you can guess which two). Charles also speaks enough Spanish to be dangerous. Given more time, he would love to continue learning Chinese and pick up Punjabi.
